Firstly, the staff was incredibly friendly, making me feel welcome and appreciated from the moment I walked in. Adorable coffee shop with baked goods in town. The pinwheels are amazing. Limited food menu, so not a full breakfast stop.

Got some coffee and breakfast before skiing at White Pass! 16oz drip coffees were 3.25 and tasted great, the poppy seed almond muffin was 3.50 and the warm breakfast scone was 6. Lots of space to sit in the morning sun.

5 Stars - A Hidden Gem During the Packwood Flea Market! I stopped by The Mountain Goat coffee shop and bakery in Packwood, WA during the flea market weekend, and I’m so glad I did. The service was absolutely top-notch. Gretchin, the barista, and Abram, the cashier, made the whole experience warm and welcoming. Abram greeted me with kind eyes and a friendly vibe—he even took a moment to chat while I placed my order, which added a personal touch that really stood out. I ordered a regular Americano with extra heavy whipping cream and honey, and let me tell you—it was perfect. No burnt flavors, just smooth, rich espresso and the right amount of creaminess. They even offer a discount if you pay with cash, which is a nice bonus. I loved that they had honey, cinnamon, and other spices available on the counter to customize your drink even more. They only serve Americanos in 12 oz cups, which totally makes sense so there’s enough room for ice or extras. I didn’t check out the bakery items much, but they looked good from what I saw. Also, huge props for having a separate hand washing station—super convenient and thoughtful, especially during busy weekends like this. All in all, The Mountain Goat delivered quality coffee, great service, and good vibes. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Packwood!

Oh my god the savory breakfast scones fresh out of the oven are SO GOOD! The perfect pre hike breakfast. They have three different kinds of chai too - we liked the mix so much we ordered it on Amazon! Friendly staff but be prepared to wait in line in the morning. Outdoor patio is cute and good if you have a dog. Only / best place to go in Packwood for breakfast and coffee - we went here every morning for the four days we were in town hiking Rainier!

They were busy so, it seemed slow, but they were friendly and prompt in things. Variety of coffee choices and baked goods. Their baking was good, although the options were limited, probably due to lower traffic levels. Still there was something for everyone. A scout group came while we were eating and the line got longer, but it moved along and everyone found something to their liking. Nice change for breakfast. There is outside seating available. It was raining while we were there, which keep most folks inside.
